Pedestrian ‘critical’ in Royal Stoke four days after crash with car

A pedestrian remains in a ‘critical’ condition in hospital four days after being involved in a late-night crash with a car. The man – aged in his 40s – suffered serious inuries in the collision in Leek Road, Bucknall,[1] on Friday evening (September 29).

Poice, paramedics and firefighters all attended the scene at around 10.50pm. A woman, the driver of a black Audi, stayed at the scene to help officers with their inquiries.

Now Staffordshire Police[2] are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. A force spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Stoke-on-Trent recently. We were called to Leek Road, Bucknall, following reports of a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

“Officers went to the scene with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service. The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital.

“He remains in a critical but stable condition. A woman, the driver of a black Audi, stayed at the scene to help officers with their inquiries. Anyone who witnessed the collision or those with CCTV and dashcam footage from the area are asked to get in touch with us.”
