Paramedics rush to A50 as car and lorry collide

Paramedics have today been rushed to the scene of a crash on the A50 that saw a car and lorry collide. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of the A50[1] and A522 just before 7.30am today, October 20.

The driver of the car, a man, was medically assessed by paramedics at the scene and discharged at the scene. However, the accident was understood to have added to the rush-hour congestion on the stretch between Uttoxeter and Stoke-on-Trent.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a lorry at the junction of the A50 and A522 at 7.26am, one ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, the driver of the car who was a man. Following assessment, crews were able to discharge the man at the scene.”
