Multi-vehicle A417 crash in Fairford blocks road in both directions

A multi-vehicle crash left a busy A-road blocked in Gloucestershire this morning (October 23). The incident was reported on the A417 in Fairford.

According to traffic^[1] monitoring website Inrix, the road was "partially blocked" in both directions. It added the incident happened at a Shell garage on the road.

According to Inrix's post, traffic queues were building around the area. Gloucestershire Police^[2] said the incident involved three cars and a lorry.

A spokesperson for the force said officers were called out to the incident. They added a person is being "assessed by paramedics" at the scene.
