Motorcyclist killed in crash on Ardleigh road as Essex Police launch …

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on an Essex road. Police and paramedics were called to Dedham Road in Ardleigh, Colchester following the crash, which also involved a car, shortly before 3pm on Saturday (October 7).

The rider, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Essex Police is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage relating to the incident to get in touch.

It said: “Detectives investigating a collision in Ardleigh in which a man died, are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage. All emergency services attended the collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

“The road was closed whilst we carried out investigative enquiries and both vehicles were recovered. An investigation is being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.”
