Missing East Lothian teen may have travelled to Edinburgh as …

Concerns are growing after a teenager from East Lothian[1] was reported missing.

15-year-old Holly Monteith[2] was last seen leaving her home in the Port Seton area at around 1.30pm on October 5 and has not been seen since.

It is believed she may have travelled to Edinburgh or Glasgow by bus. As concerns for the welfare grow, police are appealing for the public's help.

Holly is described as 5ft, slim build, with shoulder length dark hair but her exact clothing is unknown.

In a statement, Police Scotland East Lothian wrote: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a female reported missing in the East Lothian area

"Holly Monteith was last seen leaving her address in Port Seton area around 1.30pm on the October 5 2023.

"The 15 year-old, who lives in the East Lothian area, has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for her welfare.

"Holly is described as 5ft, slim build, shoulder length dark hair her exact clothing is unknown.

"It is believed she may have travelled via public bus to Glasgow City Centre or Edinburgh City Centre.

"Anyone who may have seen Holly since this time, or who has any information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 4204 of 05/10/2023"
