Man taken to hospital and road closed after lorry overturns in crash
A man has been hospitalised after a lorry overturns in crash on A68 near Jedburgh.
Traffic Scotland closed the A68 around 6am on Wednesday morning following the incident.
Police Scotland confirmed that one man was taken to hospital for treatment and recovery is being arranged for the overturned lorry.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of an overturned lorry on the A68 at Bonjedward near Jedburgh around 6.20am on Wednesday, October 4.
“One man has been taken to hospital for treatment. Recovery is being arranged for the vehicle and the road is currently closed.”
Police are no longer at the scene.
An update from Traffic Scotland this afternoon stated that A68 remains closed in both directions north of Jedburgh due to the incident.
Traffic Scotland said: “Motorists are advised to use an alternative route and should plan for longer than normal journey times”.
