Man on foot taken to hospital after being hit by car
A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a main road in Narborough[1]. The incident happened at around 1.20pm on Friday afternoon, where the man – a pedestrian – was hit by a vehicle on the B4114 Coventry Road, close to the junction with Huncote Road.
The road was closed in both directions while police dealt with the incident, and motorists were asked to avoid the area while the incident was ongoing. The road closure was confirmed by police at 1.46pm via social media.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police[3] confirmed that the man as taken to hospital for further treatment, but that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian just after 1.20pm.
“The pedestrian – a man – has been taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.”
The road was reopened and all traffic cleared by 3pm. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident by police.
