Man in his 30s dies after crash in Ashford between van and lorry
A man has died following a crash on the Great Chart Bypass in Ashford. The collision happened at around 10.58am this morning (October 23) and is believed to have involved a lorry and a van.
Police offered rushed to the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance service and tried their best to save the man. But the van driver, a man in his 30., was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the lorry driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The incident involved a white Mercedes van and an orange DAF lorry.
The A28 has been closed in both directions following the ‘serious’ crash in Ashford since around 11am this morning. The road remains closed in both directions. Witnesses are now being urged to come forward.
Kent Police are now appealing to any witnesses of the crash.
