M5 traffic live: Serious crash shuts motorway

A section of the M5 has been closed following a serious crash this afternoon (October 26)

Severe delays are building on the northbound carriageway between junction 8 and junction 7 for Evesham.

Emergency crews are at the scene and drivers should avoid the area.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: "All traffic being temporarily held, long delays and stationary traffic due to accident on M5 Northbound between J8 M50 and J7 A44 (Worcester/Evesham). At around 16:10 all traffic was held."
