Live A11 traffic updates as ‘multi-vehicle’ crash in Suffolk leaves …

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash on the A11 near the Cambridgeshire border tonight (Monday, October 2). Police, paramedics and firefighters are at the scene between Barton Mills roundabout and Thetford roundabout near the Norfolk/Suffolk border.

The crash was first reported shortly before 9.30pm. Both the northbound and southbound carriageways are reported to be affected.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said: “Police, Ambulance and Fire are currently on scene at a multi vehicle collision along the A11 Northbound and Southbound This is from Barton Mills roundabout to Thetford Roundabout including Elveden Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.”

A National Highways spokesperson said: “The A11 in Norfolk is closed in both directions between the A1065 (Barton Mills) and the B1106 (Thetford) due to a collision, whereby a lorry has collided with the central reservation. Emergency services including Norfolk Police are in attendance and leading the scene.”

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “A11 in both directions closed due to accident, a lorry that has hit the central reservation involved from A134 Brandon Road (Brandon Road roundabout, Thetford) to B1106 (Elveden Junction, Elveden).”
