Live: A-road near Saltash closed after lorry crash

The A388 in Cornwall is currently closed in both directions amid a crash involving a lorry this morning (Thursday, October 19). The A388 at Hatt is closed and affecting traffic to St Mellion.

Roads and traffic monitoring site Inrix first reported of the crash at 9.48am. They said: "A388 in both directions closed, delays due to accident from Hatt Roundabout (Hatt) to Cargreen turn off (St Mellion)."

The incident is also affecting bus routes. Plymouth City Bus have posted a Tweet which said: "Due to an incident on the A388 the following service #GCB12 will be experiencing some delays. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause."

Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for further information.
