Littlefield Lane closed following incident at railway crossing – live …
A person has been taken to hospital in a “serious condition” following an incident on the railway tracks on Littlefield Lane in Grimsby.
Officers from the British Transport Police, paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service, crews from Humberside Fire and Rescue and a Network Rail response vehicle could be seen in the area at around 12pm today (Tuesday). An air ambulance also attended.
The road was subsequently closed. It has now been reopened for pedestrians, but is still closed to motorists.
One resident told Grimsby Live: “We were just leaving when we saw the commotion outside. Things like this very rarely happen around here. I’ve lived here for seven years and never seen anything like this. I just hope everyone involved is OK.”
