Latest M6 closures motorists need to know about – starting tonight

Motorists who use the M6 have been warned about several overnight closures that will be in place over the next few days – starting tonight. Drivers have been urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys due to the disruption.

Work on the ‘dynamic hard shoulder enhancements’ will be taking place between J4 and J6 this week and next to install new signage. Teams will also be clearing vegetation, carrying out drainage surveys and doing manhole works.

Closures continue next week on the M6, this time between J8 and 10a and the M54 to M6 link road. This will enable survey works on the CCTV camera system to be carried out before a new one is installed.
