Iconic Edinburgh archway ‘teetering on edge of collapse’ after lorry …

An iconic Edinburgh archway has been left 'teetering on the edge of collapse' after a lorry reversed into it.

Commercial Quay Archway, located in Leith[1], on Dock Place, was struck on Wednesday afternoon leaving it visibily damaged.

Police[2] have been pictured in attendance at the scene of the incident[3], with photos showing one of the arches precariously off balance.

The archway is used by residents and tourists who access the dockland's pubs and restaurants on a daily basis.

One local resident told Edinburgh Live: " A lorry has reversed into the iconic Commercial Quay Archway on Dock Place - leaving it teetering on the edge of collapse."
