A Scottish teenager who tragically died after falling unwell at a property[1] over the weekend has been named locally as heartbroken friends and family paid tribute online.

Jake Jones, 16, passed away at a home in Kirkland Avenue, Ballingry, Fife[2], after emergency services rushed to the address at around 11.55am on Sunday, October 29.

Despite the help of medics[3], Jake tragically passed away a short while after being rushed to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. As the Record[4] reports, Jake’s loved ones have been left devastated by the news and tributes from loved ones have poured in.

His heartbroken girlfriend wrote: “Rest easy Jay, I loved you then and I’ll forever love you. You helped me with so much stuff and I’ll forever be grateful for everything you done for me. Until we meet again, fly high best friend.”

Alongside her tribute, Jake’s girlfriend also shared a number of pictures and videos of the pair together. In a later post written on Monday afternoon she added: “I’ll love you forever Jay Jay.”
