Firm recruited as awards sponsor says ‘passion for region’ behind …

A recruitment specialist says the chance to sponsor a Best New Tees Business Award was “an offer we couldn’t refuse.”
Darlington-based Imperial Recruitment Group is sponsoring the Best New Manufacturing Business category at the 2023 awards, to be held on Thursday, November 9 at the Kirkleatham Walled Garden Pavilion, Redcar.
And for Imperial, it was a decision driven by its passion for the area.
Director Anthony Antoniou explained: “As a Teesside-based business, we are extremely passionate about our region so the opportunity to sponsor emerging businesses was one that we simply couldn’t refuse!
“Teesside is an extremely exciting region to be linked with. Having the freeport here on our doorstep has really put us on the map.
“This, coupled with some of the other inward investment strategies, means we feel our region is one of the best in the country for new businesses to consider home.”
Manufacturing has long been at the heart of the British economy – and especially on Teesside.
And while our traditional manufacturing industries of shipbuilding and steelmaking may have declined, it’s a sector that’s still a rich source of employment and pride – and that’s amply reflected in the calibre, and variety, of finalists for the Best New Manufacturing Business Award.
Making up the final three are Access Insulation & Coatings, Cakes N Shakes and Ocean Raw – but only one will emerge with the trophy when the winner, plus nine others, are revealed on awards night.
Organised by Tees Business in association with Stockton-based hair extension specialist Additional Lengths, it’s the third year the awards have been held.
And if the previous two events are anything to go by, it will be another night of celebration and excitement.
