Storm Babet is causing road and rail disruption in the area around Plockton and Stromeferry.
The road between Plockton and the A890 at Achmore is closed “due to multiple fallen trees”.
And rail services on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line have also been cancelled between Plockton and Stromeferry until at least 3pm “due to a fallen tree”, according to ScotRail.
Confirming the road closure, Highland Council said: “Road is currently closed between Plockton and Achmore at Duncraig due to multiple fallen trees.
“Operatives are unable to clear due to high winds affecting other trees around them. Diversions are in place via Kyle of Lochalsh and Achmore.”
The disruption is being mirrored elsewhere in the region, with stormy seas cancelling CalMac ferries, and numerous communities losing power at sites across the Highlands.
