Edinburgh emergency services rush to crash on city bypass as one …
One lane of the Edinburgh city bypass[1] is currently closed after a collision as emergency services[2] are in attendance.
The outside lane of the westbound carriageway near Straiton[3] has been blocked by the crash as multiple police cars and ambulances have been pictured at the scene.
The incident took place at around 11am on Thursday, October 26, as Traffic Scotland has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to warn motorists of potential delays as traffic starts to mount.
They said: “UPDATE: 11:30. #A720 – Lane one of the Westbound carriageway is now moving. Delays approx. 15 minutes.” Traffic from nearby cameras show huge tailbacks starting to form for motorists in the area.
Traffic camera images show one lane closed with emergency services and trunk road assistance in attendance as vehicles are funnelling into one lane to pass the accident.
