Edinburgh drivers[1] have been warned to expect delays on their commute as an incident has triggered a huge queue tailing back.
An incident earlier this morning has led to traffic[2] delays between the M8, on junction six and junction four during rush hour.
Edinburgh Council’s X account for traffic, EdinTravel, re-posted Traffic Scotland’s post to warn local drivers that they could be faced with waiting 45 minutes on the M8.

Images from live CCTV traffic cameras show huge queues along the M8 tailing back into West Lothian.
At 8am, Traffic Scotland posted: “M8 J6 – 4 experiencing delays of approximately 45 minutes Eastbound due to an earlier incident.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
