Multi-vehicle crash brings M20 traffic to a standstill near Ashford …
A crash involving three vehicles on the M20[1] resulted in heavy traffic and delays near Ashford[2] this morning (October 28). The incident took place on the London-bound carriageway at Junction 10 A2070 for Ashford South.
Kent Police[3] confirmed that the incident involved three vehicles. Officers joined South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb)[4] crews at the scene.
All traffic had to be temporarily held while the incident was responded to. Motorists were warned of growing queues at the time.
An early update from traffic monitoring service Inrix stated: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, three cars and a lorry involved on M20 London bound before J10 A2070 (Ashford South).” The incident was cleared and the road re-opened shortly after 11am.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called to a report of a three-vehicle collision near Junction 10 of the westbound M20 at around 8.55am on Saturday 28 October 2023. Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and management of the incident has been handed to Highways officers.” SECAmb has been approached for further details.
