Drink-driver and M6 speeder among motorists named and shamed …

A drink-driver caught behind the wheel of an Audi has been banned from the roads for two years. A woman who sped along the M6 in a Peugeot was also hauled before the courts.

She was one of several fined for breaking the speed limit on roads across the country. Another motorist was handed six penalty points for using a mobile phone while driving.

Below you’ll find a list of drivers who appeared in courts across Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Cases were heard between September 25 and October 10, 2023.

* Claudiu Pupazan was banned from the roads for two years for drink-driving in Walsall[2]. The 38-year-old had 94mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath when he was caught behind the wheel of an Audi A4 in Walsall on October 22, 2021. The legal limit is 35mcgs. Pupazan, of Slaney Court, Walsall, also had no licence or insurance. He must carry out 120 hours unpaid work and pay a £95 victim surcharge, plus £135 court costs.

* Abigail Adams was fined £112 for exceeding a 60mph temporary restriction on the M6 on September 9, 2022. The 21-year-old committed the offence in a Peugeot on the southbound carriageway, between the M54 exit slip and and J10. Adams, of Greenhill Road, Halesowen, was given three penalty points and must pay £300 court costs and a £45 victim surcharge.

* Muhammad Yousaf was given six penalty points for using a mobile phone while driving in Surrey on October 22, 2022. The 43-year-old, of Bassett Close, Wolverhampton, must also pay £90 court costs.

* Kuljit Hundal was fined £100 for speeding on the Dudley[3] Southern Bypass on October 19, 2022. The 48-year-old, of Commonside, Brierley Hill, exceeded the 40mph speed limit in a Skoda. He was given three penalty points and must pay a £40 victim surcharge and £95 court costs.

* Stephen Warke was fined £100 for speeding in Runcorn on November 21, 2022. Warke, 45, of Gomer Street, Willenhall, was driving a Ford when he broke the 30mph speed limit. He was given three penalty points and must pay a £40 victim surcharge.

* Timothy Webb was given three penalty points for speeding in Bristol. He exceeded the 40mph speed limit on April 30, 2022. Webb, 50, of Greenhill, Wombourne, was fined £120 and must pay a £48 victim surcharge.
