Flood warning for Parsons Drove at St Ives.

Flood warning area: Harding Way, Nursery Gardens, Russet Close, Bramley Road, Elsworth Close, Rookery Close, Sheepfold, Great Fathing Close, Little Fathing Close, Fathing Lane, Brookway, Willow Way, Abbey Retail Park, Parson Green and Parsons Drove.

A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said:

River levels are rising as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected.

The areas most at risk are Harding Way, Nursery Gardens, Russet Close, Bramley Road, Elsworth Close, Rookery Close, Sheepfold, Great Fathing Close, Little Fathing Close, Fathing Lane, Brookway, Willow Way, Abbey Retail Park, Parson Green and Parsons Drove.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
