Bradford Interchange to Manchester rail fare dodger fined | Bradford …

Musleh Hassan, 28 of Canal Road, failed to show a train ticket on his journey between Bradford Interchange and Manchester Victoria on May 4, 2023.
He was asked to produce a ticket and court records state he said he had a "mobile ticket but had no battery left on his phone".
His details were obtained and he was advised the facts would be reported.
Following the incident a letter was sent to Hassan requesting an explanation.
As there was no response a Fixed Penalty letter was sent, but this remains unpaid.
At Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court, a collection order was made and Hassan was fined £220, ordered to pay compensation of £16.70, a surcharge of £88 to fund victim services, and costs of £150.
In total, he must pay £474.70 before November 24, 2023.
