A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: “In the early hours of Saturday morning, a road traffic collision took place on The Slough, Studley. A lorry collided with a silver Audi leading to the driver of the Audi sustaining life-threatening injuries and becoming trapped inside his vehicle.
“Fire crews attended to extract him from the vehicle. An ambulance took him to hospital for treatment.”
Initial reports had suggested the car was in collision with a tree. A fire crew from Redditch[4] was sent to the incident while West Mercia Police also attended to help with road closures.
The road is next to Cain Brook. The incident took place as Storm Babet led to heavy rainfall across the region and the country.
