A500 ‘partially blocked’ as emergency services called to crash …
Motorists are being warned the A500[1] has been left ‘partially blocked’ following a collision. The crash has triggered around two miles of queues on the D-road.
Meanwhile one passing driver says a lorry and a car are involved in the smash which has taken place on the southbound carriageway. Traffic monitoring system Inrix is reporting there are two miles of queues from the Etruria Road turn-off.
Google Map is currently showing a long queue and shows the collision near to the Cliffe Vale area.
One driver told StokeonTrentLive: “There has been a crash on the A500 just after the Hanley turn-off with a car and a lorry. The traffic is backed up all the way past Asda Wolstanton[2].”
We have contacted the emergency services – including Staffordshire Police[3] and West Midlands Ambulance Service[4] – for more details on the collision.
