A50 crash biker in Royal Stoke with ‘potentially serious injuries’

A biker has been taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' after an A50 crash. Police and paramedics were called to the A50 through Fenton[1] during last night's rush-hour.

Staffordshire Police[2] are refusing to reveal any details following the collision involving the motorbike and a car. But West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] has confirmed it sent one ambulance to the crash scene.

Part of the A50 westbound was closed at the height of the incident.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A50 at around 5.25pm. An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a motorbike and a car had been involved in a collision. The motorcyclist, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital[4] for further treatment."

Anyone who saw the collision should call the police on 101.
