A417 near Wiltshire blocked due to crash involving lorry and cars

The A417 near Wiltshire is blocked due to a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the scene between Lechlade and Fairford shortly before 7am this morning (Monday).

Police and the ambulance service are in attendance, with a casualty being treated by medics.

Four vehicles – a lorry and three cars – were involved in the road traffic collision.

Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured in the incident and the road is expected to reopen in due course.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “We’re at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on the A417 near Fairford.

“Police were called shortly before 6.55am with a report of a collision involving three cars and a lorry.

“The road is currently blocked and one person is being assessed by paramedics.”
