Vile red Nazi graffiti scrawled on bridge in shocking act of vandalism

Vile Swastikas and racist symbols have been etched in red spray-paint on a railway bridge in Solihull.[1] The disgusting imagery, which features the symbol of the German Nazi party, was pictured earlier this week after a concerned resident reported to the council.

The grim images were pictured on a railway bridge in lverley Green Road, a stone’s throw away from Olton railway station. Liberal Democrat councillor for Olton Michael Carthew said the derogatory signs “will not be tolerated in Olton or Solihull.”

Network Rail, who are responsible for the bridge told BirminghamLive they are removing the graffiti from the bridge “as priority” this week. Liberal Democrat councillor for Olton Michael Carthew, shared the shocking pictures on his page on X, formerly Twitter.

Cllr Carthew said: “Thank you to a member of the public for reporting the swastikas and white power symbols on the railway bridge on Ulverley Green Road to me. I have reported them to the council to be cleaned off asap. Fascist symbols will never be tolerated in Olton or Solihull[4].

The swastika symbol has long been associated with the Nazis after being adopted by Adolf Hitler as the German national symbol.

A spokesman for Network Rail said: “We are aware of this graffiti and will be removing it from the bridge as a priority this week.”
