Edinburgh train passengers have been warned of cancellations and travel[1] disruption this morning

ScotRail[2] took to social media to alert customers that those travelling between Edinburgh and Tweedbank should expect delays on Saturday, September 30.

According to the train[3] operator’s website, a number of services have been cancelled after a burst water main between Stow and Gorebridge.

The 8:43am Edinburgh to Tweedbank due 9:41am has been cancelled. The 8:50am Tweedbank to Edinburgh due 9:48am will be started from Stow, and the 9:51am Tweedbank to Edinburgh due 10:46 will be cancelled. It will no longer call at Tweedbank and Galashiels.

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, ScotRail posted: “Due to a burst water main between Gorebridge and Stow, services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank will be subject to delays.”

Train passengers should check their journey before heading out and plan ahead.
