Police race to ‘stabbing’ on Scottish street as man rushed to hospital

An alleged stabbing in Fife[1] led to a man being rushed to hospital on Monday.

Emergency services raced to a street in Kirkcaldy[2], with the alarm raised at around 2.05pm. Police[3] officers were told of a 42-year-old man being attacked.

It’s understood he suffered stab injuries. He was rushed to the Victoria Hospital for treatment.

His condition is currently unknown. A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Officers say their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.05pm on Monday, 11 September, 2023, we were called to a report of a man having been seriously assaulted on Randolph Crescent, Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended and a 42-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for treatment.

“A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
