Person dies after incident on train track between Bristol and London
A person has died after being found on the trail line between Bristol and London, the British Transport Police has said. Emergency services were called to the tracks near Reading at around 8.30am today (September 21) following reports of a casualty on the line.
BerkshireLive[1] reports paramedics also responded to the incident but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious, the BTP has said.
The lines between Reading Station and London Paddington were blocked for several hours this morning while emergency services responded to the incident, with National Rail reporting cancellations and delays of up to an hour for some journeys. The lines have since reopened but further delays are expected.

The British Transport Police said in a statement: "Officers were called to the line near Reading railway station at around 8.30am today (21 September) to reports of a casualty on the track. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Great Western Rail says disruption is expected until 12pm today. Passengers may use their tickets on alternative journeys.
GWR says: "Following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Reading and London Paddington all lines have now reopened.
"Train services running to and from these stations are returning to normal. Disruption is expected until 12:00 21/09."
