Paramedics assessed a lorry driver after an A500 crash. The HGV finished on a grass verge alongside the A500 between the Audley and Talke junctions yesterday.
It followed reports that a lorry had ‘hit a bridge’.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance to the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a HGV, at the junction of Audley Road and Alsager Road, at 11.31am on Monday. One ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, the lorry driver. However, following assessment he was able to be discharged at the scene.”
Staffordshire Police also attended the incident.
A police spokesman said: “Fortunately the vehicle went to the left and into the verge and not across the oncoming carriageway. The driver was shaken but had no serious Injury. Our enquires are ongoing.”
Any witnesses should call the police on 101.
