Moment suspected drug dealers crash after police chase

This was the alarming aftermath of a dramatic police chase through Coventry[1] that shook a community. A car smashed into two parked vehicles on Beresford Avenue, Foleshill[2], after a high-speed pursuit in what is a busy residential area.
Two men inside the car that police had pursued were said to have run off after crashing. Unconfirmed reports suggested a large amount of cannabis and canisters were found inside the car.
The video shows a firefighter and policemen surveying the damage caused by a black car. They carry out their initial investigations in front of shocked residents and passersby eager to find out what has happened.
An eyewitness told CoventryLive a black Mercedes was 'driving at high speeds' on nearby Fisher Road before crashing in Beresford Avenue at about 7pm on Thursday (September 7). They said the two people who fled were suspected drug dealers.
"Locals on this road are pretty angry as they have complained about a lack of police presence before," they said. "And kids usually play on the pavement the car collided into.
"This road has become a hotspot for crime recently. Locals have previously asked for CCTV on this road." West Midlands Police was approached for comment.[4]
