The Minstermen are back on their travels down south once again this coming Saturday when we travel to the Kuflink Stadium to take on newly-promoted Ebbsfleet United.
City will hope to find their first win of the season under caretaker manager Tony McMahon at the weekend, following the departure of Mikey Morton after Bank Holiday Monday’s defeat at home to Rochdale.
So far this season, the Minstermen have drawn three of their opening six games of the new National League season, against Altrincham at the LNER Community Stadium and against both Aldershot Town and Dorking Wanderers on the road.
The hosts come into this fixture on the back of being promoted as National League South champions last season. So far this season, they sit once place and one point outside the National League playoff positions.
Dennis Kutrieb’s side so far this season have managed to secure three wins from their opening six games, whilst last season’s top scorer Dominic Poleon has already come up with six goals this season, with two of those coming in Monday’s 3-2 defeat against Barnet at the Hive.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
City’s last visit to Ebbsfleet came on the opening day of the 2011/2012 season, where the Minstermen came from behind courtesy of a brace from Jason Walker to secure a 2-1 win on the road.
City went on to play Ebbsfleet twice at home later during that season, once in the Blue Square Premier where we ran out 3-2 winners, before securing a 1-0 win over them at Bootham Crescent where a Matty Blair goal saw us advance into the FA Trophy 4th Round on our run that season which saw us become crowned FA Trophy winners for the first time in the club’s history.
KEEP UPDATED WITH THE GAME
As always, the best way to follow the game is at the stadium, but if you can’t make it to Kuflink Stadium this weekend however, here are some alternatives:
