Man rushed to hospital after crash between bin lorry and motorbike …

A man was rushed to hospital after a crash on the A320 involving a bin lorry. Police were called to reports of a collision along the A320, Chertsey[1] Road, between the driver of a bin lorry and the driver of a motorbike at around 1:00pm today (25 September).

The road was closed whilst emergency workers responded, but has since reopened. A man has been taken to hospital with injuries. The extent of their injuries is still being assessed by doctors.

Woking[2] Borough Council and Guildford[3] Borough Council told SurreyLive that their initial checks did not indicate that the bin lorry was one of theirs.

A Surrey Police[4] spokesperson added: “We would like to extend our thanks for everyone’s patience.” It is not immediately clear which driver was injured. Sensors show the road is now open and traffic is flowing. The road was shut for around 3 hours.

It comes as, in a separate incident today, another motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A3[6], Surrey Police have confirmed. E mergency services rushed to[7] the scene at around 11.20am this morning, to reports of a crash on the A3 northbound.

Police and paramedics arrived and found the aftermath of a collision between two cars and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The A3 was closed northbound at the Ripley slip road but was re-opened at around 3:30pm.
