Lucky escape after Edinburgh crash sees car overturn on quiet city …
A crash on an Edinburgh road saw a car overturned and damage caused to a bus stop in the Inverleith[1] area.
Police[2] attended the scene on Monday afternoon, which is understood to have involved two vehicles. The crash happened at around 4.15pm, with officers racing to Montagu Terrace.
It’s understood that police, along with the Scottish Ambulance Service[3], were there “right away”. Officers have said they are not aware of any reported injuries.
Uthay Soundararajan, who works in Goldenacre Wines which is across the road from the scene of the crash, told Edinburgh Live: “At around 4.15pm here was an accident between a red car that overturned and another vehicle.
“One came from Royston Terrace Drive and another from Ferry Road. Police and ambulance were there right away, I just hope everyone is okay.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.25pm on Monday, September 4, to a report of a crash on Inverleith Row in Edinburgh.
“The road was closed for vehicle recovery and re-opened around 6.25pm.”
