LIVE: A500 lane closed amid reports ‘lorry has hit bridge’
One lane was closed on the A500 after a lorry reportedly hit a bridge. The accident happened just before midday today (September 25).
It has been reported by traffic updates service Inrix the lorry hit a bridge then went off the road on the A500 D Road Southbound, between Alsager Road and the A34 Talke Road. Traffic between M6 Junction 16 and Stoke is affected and traffic was reported to be queuing.
Staffordshire Police has been contacted for more information. West Midlands Ambulance Service has also been contacted.
