LIVE: A38 chaos as lorry crash shuts carriageway and causes …

Part of the A38[1] is shut after a crash that saw a lorry overturn on the dual carriageway. It happened on the northbound carriageway between Clay Mills and Branston at around 1pm today, September 25.

However, since the crash, a further collision has taken place as traffic queues[2] to get away from the affected area. There is reportedly congestion to just before the turn-off for Barton, with traffic heading towards Derby affected.

And, according to traffic updates service Inrix, Wellington Road is also experiencing long queues as motorists try to divert through Burton[3] town centre.

Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service have both been contacted for more information. StaffordshireLive is working to provide updates.
