Kent road closures: Overnight closures to to continue on M2 and …
Overnight closures will once again impact many of Kent’s major motorways and A roads this week. Motorists will need to be aware of numerous important closures that could cause considerable disruption to travel.
Overnight closures will be taking place throughout the week on the M2 on the London-bound carriageway[1] between Junction 4 for Gillingham[2] and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne.[3] These closures will take place between 8pm and 6am each night and are taking place for repair and maintenance works on the bridge that carries the M2 over Mount Lane.
Meanwhile, overnight closures will also impact the M20 this week[4] for resurfacing works on the vital motorway between Junction 11 for Westhanger and Junction 13 for Folkestone. Works will also involve the repainting of road markings and again take place between 8pm and 6am.

Monday, September 11
A2 Westbound - A closure will be in place for the A2 Westbound to M25 Clockwise Junction 3 link road for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5am.
A21 both directions - A carriageway closure will be in place from Pembury Junction to the Forstal Farm roundabout for surface works between 8pm and 6am.
M2 Westbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between Junction 5 to Junction 4 for bridge works between 8pm and 6am.
M20 Westbound - The Junction 12 exit slip road will be closed for road surface works between 8pm and 6am.
M20 Westbound - A closure will be in place for M20 Westbound to M25 Anticlockwise Link road for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5.30am.
M25 Anticlockwise - A carriageway closure will be in place from Junction 3 to Junction 2 for resurfacing works with diversions via local authority roads between 10pm and 5.30am. This includes the Junction 3 entry slip road.
M25 Clockwise - Junction 2 entry slip road closure for structural works with diversions via the National Highways network. This will take place from 10pm and 5.30am.
M25 Clockwise - A carriageway closure between Junctions 3 and 3 for resurfacing works with diversions via local authority roads between 10pm and 5am.
M25 Clockwise - The link road from Junction 3 to the M20 Eastbound Junction 1 will be closed for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5am.
M26 Eastbound - A Carriageway, lane, link and entry slip road closures for routine works. Diversion for the A21 Southbound link road closure is via Jct 4 and return. Diversion for the M26 Kent bound is via the M25 Jct 5 link road to M25 Jct 3, M20 Eastbound and return to Jct 2a. This will be in place between 10pm and 5.30am.
Tuesday, September 12
A2 Westbound - A closure will be in place for the A2 Westbound to M25 Clockwise Junction 3 link road for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5am.

M25 Clockwise - The link road from Junction 3 to the M20 Eastbound Junction 1 will be closed for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5am.
M26 Eastbound - A Carriageway, lane, link and entry slip road closures for routine works. Diversion for the A21 Southbound link road closure is via Jct 4 and return. Diversion for the M26 Kent bound is via the M25 Jct 5 link road to M25 Jct 3, M20 Eastbound and return to Jct 2a. This will be in place between 10pm and 5.30am.

A2 Eastbound - The Bishopsbourne exit slip road will be closed for resurfacing works between 8pm and 5am.
A2 Westbound - A closure will be in place for the A2 Westbound to M25 Clockwise Junction 3 link road for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5am.
A20 Eastbound - The A260 exit slip road will be closed for maintenance works between 8pm and 6am.
M2 Westbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between Junction 5 to Junction 4 for bridge works between 8pm and 6am.
M2 Westbound - The Junction 5 entry slip road will be closed for improvement works between 7pm and 6am.
M20 Westbound - The Junction 12 exit slip road will be closed for road surface works between 8pm and 6am.
M20 Eastbound - The Junction 9 exit slip road will be closed construction works from 9pm to 6am

M2 Westbound - The Junction 5 entry slip road will be closed for improvement works between 5am September 15 to 5am September 18.
M20 Westbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between the entry and exit slip road for road surface works between 8pm and 6am.
M20 Eastbound - The Junction 9 exit slip road will be closed construction works from 9pm to 6am
M20 Westbound - A closure will be in place for M20 Westbound to M25 Anticlockwise Link road for resurfacing works between 11pm and 6am

A20 Eastbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between Junction B2173 and Junction 1 for resurfacing works between 10pm and 6am.
A21 Both directions - A closure will be in place for the Potters Wood entry slip roads for inspections between 8pm and 6am.
M2 Westbound - The Junction 5 entry slip road will be closed for improvement works between 5am September 15 to 5am September 18.
M20 Eastbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between Junctions 11 and 12 for road surface works from 8pm to 6am.
Sunday, September 17
A20 Eastbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between Junction B2173 and Junction 1 for resurfacing works between 10.30pm and 5.30am.
A21 Southbound - The Longfield Road entry slip road will be closed for inspections between 8pm and 6am.
M2 Westbound - The Junction 5 entry slip road will be closed for improvement works between 5am September 15 to 5am September 18.
M20 Eastbound - A carriageway closure will be in place between Junctions 11 and 12 for road surface works from 8pm to 6am.
