Girl taken to hospital after falling off a bridge on M4
A girl in Wales has been taken to hospital after falling off a bridge over the M4 near Newport.
Gwent Police Chief Inspector Rhys Caddick said: "We received a report that a girl had fallen from a bridge over the M4, between junctions 24 and 25, in Newport at around 1.20pm on Saturday, September 9.
"Officers attended alongside personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Service. The girl was taken to hospital for treatment," reports Wales Online[1]
The incident took place between junction 25A of the A4042 at Cwmbran to junction 24 A449 at Coldra.
The incident caused queueing traffic as the incident saw the road shut in both directions.
Officers have now reopened the road in both directions.
