A two-year-old girl who was reported missing[1] from her home has been found in a nearby pond, and is now fighting for her life.
Local police first reported the girl missing at about 5pm on Sunday 10 September, after she vanished from her home in Kingsley, Bolton. Her family quickly began looking for her as police and emergency services scoured the nearby area for her.
She was later found in the nearby Kingsley Pond following the search and she had to be rushed to hospital in a serious condition. The area was sealed off yesterday evening as multiple police units took part.
Officers are now working to investigate the circumstances of the horrific incident and figure out what happened, HampshireLive[2] reported.
The child was reported missing from her home on Forge Road, KingsleyIn a statement the force said: "We were called at 5.02pm this evening (10 September) to a report of a two-year-old girl missing from her home in Forge Road, Kingsley, Bordon. The child was found nearby in Kingsley Pond and has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. Officers are making enquiries in the area to investigate the circumstances around this incident."
The youngster remains in hospital receiving critical medical attention.
