Fire started at Bath play park as police launch public appeal

A fire was started at a play park in Bath[1] earlier this week. Investigating officers from Avon and Somerset Police[2] are now appealing for information from the public.

Police say the fire was lit at the Moorfields Sandpits, on Monksdale Road, on Tuesday (September 5). They are urging anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant footage to get in touch as soon as possible.

The force said in an appeal on Twitter today (September 9): “On the 5th September 2023 police were made aware of an incident involving a fire being lit at the Sandpits play park, Monksdale Road, Bath.

“If you have information please contact 101 reference number 5223216387 we are looking for any footage that may show the incident.”
