Fire crews cut person free from overturned truck after three-car crash

Emergency services received reports of the crash in Broadwater Road, Worthing, just before 2pm on Thursday (September 7).

More than half a dozen firefighters worked to free those inside the overturned pickup truck while two other vehicles were badly damaged nearby.

Two drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for further observations.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Broadwater Road, Worthing, at approximately 1.45pm today.

“Ambulance crews attended and two patients were assessed and treated before being taken to Worthing Hospital.”

Police are now asking anyone who saw the incident to contact them.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Anyone with any information or relevant dashcam footage is asked to report online or via 101, quoting serial 784 of 07/09.”
