Fire crews called to blaze near Stoke-on-Trent pottery works

Fire crews have been called to a blaze near to a Stoke-on-Trent pottery works. Firefighters were called to Sturgess Street, in Stoke, near to the Falcon Pottery Works just after 6.30pm on Tuesday (September 5).

A spokesman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 6.33pm on Tuesday to reports of a blaze on Sturgess Street near to an old pottery works. Three crews were sent, however, when we got there it turned out to be a small rubbish fire near to the works. We left the scene just after 7pm.
