Essential rail upgrades to impact Great Western Railway services …
Passengers travelling with Great Western Railway[1] are being advised of track upgrade work taking place from the 17th to the 22nd of September, which will affect journeys between Bristol[2] and Weston-super-Mare[3].
The work will see track replaced between Bedminster and Worle[4], level crossing upgrades between Yatton[5] and Worle[6], and structural repair at Parson Street[7].
During the planned period of work taking place from Sunday the 17th to and including Friday the 22nd of September, no trains will operate between Bristol[8] Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare[9].
Rail travel between Bristol Temple Meads[10] and Taunton[11] via Westbury[12] will still be available to customers including diverted CrossCountry[13] services.
Between Weston-super-Mare and Taunton[14] and between London and the South West via Castle Cary will also still be in operation.
