Elderly woman dies almost three weeks after crash in Stonehouse
An elderly woman has died in hospital almost three weeks after a crash in Stonehouse[1]. Investigating officers from Gloucestershire Police[2] are appealing for witnesses of the two-vehicle collision to come forward.
Police say the crash happened at around 3pm on Friday, September 8. It took place on Broad Street in Kings Stanley, near to the mini roundabout on High Street by the Kings Head Pub.
The vehicles involved were a silver Ford KA which was being driven by a 90-year-old local woman, and a silver Volkswagen Up, which was being driven by a 30-year-old woman. The elderly woman was rushed to hospital but sadly died on Tuesday (September 26).
Police believe there were several people in the area at the time of the crash. They are urging anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
The force said in a public appeal: “It is believed that there were several people in the area at the time, with some who stopped to help at the scene, and investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or vehicles prior to it.
“Anyone with information is asked to make contact with police online by completing the following form[5] and quoting incident 313 of 8 September. You can also call police on 101.
