Edinburgh drivers face delays as car and two lorries crash on …

A collision on the Queensferry Crossing[1] has led to delays for Edinburgh drivers.

The incident, which happened at around 1.45pm on Friday afternoon, saw emergency services race to the scene. Both southbound lanes were blocked off just after 2pm.

Police Scotland[2] have not confirmed if any injuries were sustained in the crash, involving a car and two lorries. Traffic on the bridge was passing on the hard shoulder, with Traffic Scotland[3] adding that movement was “already very slow on approach”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the collision at around 1.55pm. An ambulance has been sent out to Queensferry Crossing. Traffic is still able to pass over the bridge, officers have blocked off the soutbound lanes.”

Traffic Scotland added: “Both lanes on the #M90 Queensferry Crossing Southbound are currently blocked due to a collision involving a car and two lorries. Traffic can pass on the hard shoulder but is already very slow on approach.”
