Driver cut free from car and rushed to hospital after crash

A driver was cut free from her car by firefighters after a collision. The woman suffered 'potentially serious injuries' following the crash in Walsall.

West Midlands Ambulance Service[1] said they responded to a report of a two-car collision on Leamore Lane at 1.41pm today, Tuesday, September 19. A driver was treated at the scene before she was taken to hospital.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 1.41pm to a two-car road traffic collision on Leamore Lane in Walsall[4]. Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a woman who was the driver of the first car.

"She was assessed by ambulance staff at the scene and had sustained potentially serious injuries that were not believed to be life threatening. She was conveyed to Walsall Manor Hospital for further assessment."
