A driver who was 'caught with cocaine' has been arrested after he was pursued on the M74 by police on Saturday.

After failing to stop for Glasgow Road Police on the motorway between Polmadie and Dalmarnock, the man allegedly attempted to 'try his luck on foot'.

Following the arrest, officers allegedly found a large stash of cocaine in the car.

The man is due in court on Monday, September 4.

A spokesperson for Glasgow Road Police said: "This car failed to stop for Glasgow Road Police on the M74 earlier today.
