Driver and passenger in miraculous escape after horror crash near …

A driver and their passenger had a miraculous escape after walking from the wreck of a mangled car with only minor injuries.

Humberside Police[1] have posted shocking images of the wreck of the vehicle which smashed into a tree on Wansford Road, near Driffield[2] on Monday afternoon. No other vehicles were involved in the collision but, thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt.

The force’s East Riding North Facebook page posted images of the crash[3] while also appealing for any information or dashcam footage.

The post says: “Reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Wansford Road earlier this afternoon (Monday), with a car leaving the carriageway into woodland, and colliding with a tree.

“The driver and only occupant of the vehicle is lucky to have only sustained minor injuries! Vehicle remains in situ and will be recovered in due course. Enquiries are currently ongoing. Did you witness the collision or have any dash cam footage? Police log 203 25/09/23 refers.”
